This book accompanies the exhibition Imperfect Health: the Medicalization of Architecture and its online TV channel. Imperfect Health investigates the historical connections between health, design and the environment, emphasizing certain uncertainties and contradictions informed by Western medicine. Should urbanism, landscape design, or architecture seek to take care of people rather than cure them? Do we need to “demedicalize architecture”?
