Belgian architect Kersten Geers combines his work at OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen architecture studio with his academic work and writing.

In this compilation of essays, written between 2010 and 2020, the author writes about diverse historical architects - from Bramante, Scamozzi and Mies van der Rohe to Aldo Rossi, James Stirling, Álvaro Siza or Robert Venturi - to compose a kind of theory of contemporary architecture in which he deals with issues such as language and form.
