Journal Superposition, issue 2 : Workout
Founded in 2020 by a group of architects, the story behind Superposition's title is as follows: ‘Super connotes the extraordinary in a positive sense. Position refers equally to a spatial, a temporal and an intellectual emplacement.'
After a debut issue exploring the Hardcore Home, the team returns with an equally graphic sophomore issue, themed ‘Workout‘, but not quite in the literal sense. Instead, ideas of productivity, value systems and collaboration link the pieces within, which include interviews with Feyikemi Bello, OK-RM, POor Collective and more, as well as essays on ‘Italian pop nostalgia‘, the landscapes of Athens and destruction within public art.
This issue also includes a slim yellow booklet tucked into the centrefold, which explores the crossover between architecture and the work of social scientist Otto Laske.
