CCA Tote - 2025 edition
CCA Tote - 2025 edition
“Producing the CCA tote bag is so special for us because, first of all, this is the biggest order we’ve ever worked on. […] It’s us kind of being given an opportunity to reclaim those jobs that we would’ve had if we were producing, or let’s say processing our homegrown cotton.”
– BOBBY KOLADE, Founder of BUZIGAHILL
The 2025 CCA tote has arrived.
New colours, and a new partnership with Kampala-based BUZIGAHILL, a fashion brand that redesigns second-hand clothes, and redistributes them to their origins in the Global North in a defiant process called RETURN TO SENDER.
Anchored by a collective refusal to remain at the tail end of the second-hand supply chain and fueled by a desire to rebuild Uganda’s once-thriving textile and clothing industry, BUZIGAHILL’s RETURN TO SENDER directly responds to the impacts of clothing overproduction on Uganda’s textile industry while engaging in global conversations across art, fashion, and policy.
This collaboration marks BUZIGAHILL’s first time working with deadstock fabrics and lean production, and a continuation of the CCA’s desire to engage in meaningful dialogue with others who share our interest in addressing urgent environmental and social issues, such as the impact of overconsumption in the Global North.
*As production is based on available fabrics, numerous bags are unique. The photos are indicative of types of patterns and colours your bag might be adorned with. The colour of your tote will be a surprise.
