Traduire : Architecture explore la diversité des conceptions contemporaines de l’architecture à travers l’outil de la traduction. Médiatrice entre différences culturelles et instrument de résistance aux récits dominants, la traduction invite à renouveler le discours architectural en l’ouvrant à une pluralité de références. Vingt-cinq architectes du monde entier ont été invités à écrire, chacun dans sa langue, un court essai sur leur vision de l’architecture. Traduites en français et en anglais, ces contributions sont accompagnées des commentaires des traducteurs, révélant les frictions, écarts et trouvailles de l’acte de traduire.

Translating: Architecture explores the diversity of contemporary notions of architecture through the tool of translation. As a mediator between cultural differences and an instrument of resistance to dominant narratives, translation invites us to renew architectural discourse by opening up to multiple frames of reference. To this end, twenty-five architects from around the world were invited to write, in their own language, a short essay on their view of architecture. Translated into French and English, these contributions are accompanied by commentaries from the translators, together revealing frictions, gaps, and discoveries inherent to the act of translation.
