This book describes a process of transformation. It is inspired by a manuscript from 1993, a time when Erwin Wurm was already exploring the transformation of body volume in his photographic diptych “Me/Me Fat.” Through concise instructions, meal plans, and recipes, it takes us on an eight-day journey around the belly: from a size 50 to a size 54. Amid our relentless oscillation between an obsession with thinness and one with obesity, this small, thick, and exquisitely beautiful book—more of an object than a mere printed work—satirizes the perversion of contemporary food culture. The illustrations were created exclusively for this edition.
